About Public Affairs
The Public Affairs Department manages communications for the City of Palm Desert and our various divisions. This department is responsible for all public engagement, events, visitor services, marketing, and promotional efforts in Palm Desert. This includes marketing, media relations, special events, social media, maintenance of the city’s websites, and publishing the bi-monthly BrightSide newsletter.
Public Affairs strives to promote Palm Desert as a unique brand and to increase awareness of the city as a destination resort with our Discover Palm Desert website, the Coachella Valley’s most robust event calendar. Our public engagement website, Engage Palm Desert, is another tool of this department to encourage community feedback on our city’s various projects and initiatives.
