Plan Submittal and Review

Plans are reviewed on a first come first serve basis. Plan review times may take between 2-3 weeks for per submittal, depending on the size and complexity of the project, and may go through 2-3 plan reviews before final approval.
Resubmittals
Resubmittals must be uploaded to your permit through your eTRAKiT account. Log into your eTRAKiT account using your login credentials. Be sure to log in as “contractor” (use the contractor’s state license number or assigned AEC number for “username”) and enter your password. Under your active permits, locate the correct permit number and click on the paper clip icon to add your attachments.
Upload your resubmittal documents using the naming conventions below.

For third submittal;

Number of submittal should be updated for additional reviews (e.g. 4th, 5th)
Responses for resubmittals are required to be provided in the format identified in the cover letter.
Please allow 1-3 business days to process and route your resubmittal documents for review.
Inspections
Engineering inspections for grading, street improvements, or storm drain improvements can be scheduled by emailing the Public Works team at pcinspections@palmdesert.gov. Requests must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. the day before the inspection is needed.
Top of Form Certification
Prior to the footing inspection with the Building Department, the Civil Engineer of Record for the project must submit a signed and stamped Top of Form Certification to the Public Works Department for review and approval. Click here to submit your Top of Form Certification. Please allow up to 3 business days for review and approval.
Plan Revisions
Substantial revisions to the approved plans require the submission of updated plans reflecting changes for review and approval. Updated plans should be submitted through eTRAKiT to start review process. Additional fees will apply.
Letter of Certification and Final Inspection
Before a final inspection can be scheduled, the engineer must submit a Letter of Certification for review and approval. Please click here to submit your request. Please allow up to 3 business days for review and approval of Letters of Certification.
Final inspection can be scheduled by emailing the Public Works team at pcinspections@palmdesert.gov.
